The Top 10 things I love about digital scrapbooking:

1. It’s FUN!!  I really enjoy the process of starting with a blank screen & creating a beautiful page with my photos & my story – and Creative Memories artwork to make me look like a graphic designer.

2. I can have one 12”x12” photo on a page, or 144 1”x1” photos, and everything in between.  I can have tall thin photos or short wide photos. I can have big photos & small photos. Who decided the world is 6”x4” anyway?

3. I can reuse my favourite papers & stickers over & over.

4. I can scrapbook all day without making a mess. And if I want to take my scrapbooking with me when I go out, it fits in one small bag.

5. My journaling is so much neater & I get to play with fun fonts.

6. My StoryBooks take up so little space on my bookshelves, and they sit very nicely on my coffee table.

7. I can make copies of my StoryBooks to give away.

8. I get the most out of my photos. I love reliving holidays & outings while scrapbooking. I can digitally enhance my photos, and I don’t have to worry about cutting up precious original photos.

9. I belong to a community of incredibly talented, creative and generous scrapbookers who inspire me every day.

10. I get to release my creative inner self (who knew I had one?)

Here is a photo of a page I created in one of my traditional albums. I used the same photos to create a digital page, and what a difference it makes! I was able to enlarge my favourite photo on the page, and add a textured edge to it. I also enhanced the colour of the photo, and I found a nice celtic-style font for the title.
