Pixie Picks for May
What a fantastic time we had at our p2P ‘Best of’ NSD Crop this weekend! It was so much fun to see your pages and to watch you try new things, learn new techniques, and break out of your boxes! Thanks to all who participated.
Some of us even had time to do a little (or a lot!) of cropping along with you – we love it when that happens! We’ve got some favorite kits this month, so I thought I’d share with you some of the pages we made with them.

“Rabbit, Rabbit” and Happy May Day
If you’re new to pixels2Pages, you might not know about the custom of saying “Rabbit, Rabbit” on the first day of each month – legend has it that it brings good luck, and we can all use a little of that, right? And today is May Day, which reminds me of Maypoles and flowery headdresses and the pretty pastel dresses of my youth. I guess I’m giving my age away now!!
What’s New at pixels2Pages
It’s a beautiful day here at Tiki Island, but it sure is quiet now that the US pixies are gone! We had such a grand time being together, but we must have caused some seismic shift that made our internet server gremlins come out to play. Maybe they were jealous! Anyway, if you tried to watch last week’s awesome new Video Tidbits, “Masks, Unmasked” and “Cloning in StoryBook” over the weekend, you probably got frustrated pretty quickly! Soon, it wasn’t just those two videos giving us fits, it was all of the videos, and then whole pages started disappearing!
It took us most of the weekend to get it all sorted out, but we think we’ve gotten things fixed now. If you are still having issues, please log out of pixels2Pages, reboot your computer, and try again. You may find you’ll need to empty the cache … Read More
We’re on Island Time
That’s right, it’s p2PTiki Time! I’m in near ecstasy, sitting in my kitchen surrounded by FIVE pixels2Pages team members! That makes six of us, or half of the team, in one room, all together, at the same time. It’s a momentous occasion – it’s NEVER happened until this weekend – you are witnessing HISTORY! So if you think I’m excited now, just wait until the day (and it WILL come) that all twelve of us are together in person! The globe may tilt when that energy rush happens!
We’ve had five of us gathered in one place several times, most recently in Geelong and Melbourne, Australia, when Mary, Shelley, Janice, Kerrianne, and I were together for almost a week. Before that, we had a couple of Showcase experiences – in 2011, Jeannine, Kim, Mary, Tameka, and I were in Minneapolis, and in 2010, it was Jeannine, Anne, Mary, Tameka and … Read More
Happy Birthday to Us
It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since we launched the pixels2Pages website! I can still remember the excitement we felt during the first week of April, 2010, when we all posted a globe as our Facebook profile picture a few days before the site went live. We were on our weekly conference call and all pushed the ‘change profile picture’ button on Facebook at the same time. It was hilarious (to us, anyway, but we are clearly easily amused!) to see all of our faces turn to globes! Soon our friends were noticing and asking us what was going on and why we had the same profile pictures and ‘how did you make that globe?’
Rabbit, Rabbit
Happy April Fool’s Day – but you’ll get no jokes from me today! I hear that some of you were hoping that our new Facebook timeline was a cruel joke, but it’s here to stay – at least until the next change! I’ve told you before that I’m one of those strange people who loves change, so I’m looking at the things I like about it. I love the new banner look – and you know we’ve got some great things planned for it. I like that we can bookmark posts so that they’ll stay near the top of the page. I like that with one click, I can see the pages and questions you have posted and with another click I can see our pages and announcements. Another thing I LOVE is those little boxes just under the timeline banner – and I think you will, too! If you … Read More
Coming(s) and Going(s)
There has been a LOT of coming and going around pixels2Pages in the last few weeks! Don’t worry – this blog is not about things coming off the website! I’m talking about us ‘pixies’ and our comings and goings.

Did You Know?
One of our team’s favorite things about the pixels2Pages.net website is our pixels2Pages Facebook page. It’s the place where our online community of digital scrapbookers was created and is nurtured daily. It’s how we get to know you through the pages you post, the comments you make, and the questions you ask. It’s one of the ways you get to know us, as we share our pages, comments, and answers with you. We have loved watching women (and a few men) from around the world learn about each others’ cultures, holidays, families, and ways of life. We’ve shared and seen you share triumphs and heartbreaks. We’ve watched as ‘friends’ who had only ‘met’ on Facebook meet face to face for the first time, and you’ve watched us meet our teammates in the same way. We have seen first hand what a small, small world it has become.
