Pixieliciously Thankful
There are so many things that I am thankful for, and close to the top of my list this year are my pixels2Pages teammates, our partners at Creative Memories, and our pixels2Pages fans.

So thankful …
Being part of this international p2P team has meant that I have learnt lots of things from the others that go above and beyond what we teach each other about StoryBook Creator. There are new words, phrases and sayings – even old words that suddenly have a whole new meaning! I’ve learnt about other family traditions and I have also learnt about the holidays that are celebrated in our various parts of the world. I have always known about Halloween and Thanksgiving but have only recently come to learn when they actually are and what they are all about!… Read More

Justine Forrest, Australia
My name is Justine Forrest. I have lived on the far south coast of New South Wales, Australia for ten years, and I call anywhere that my family is home.
While we are all photographers, I have the privilege of taking pictures and getting paid for it! Because of this I shoot anything and everything, however, I think that has more to do with the fact that I have got in the habit of taking my camera with me everywhere. If you’ve ever taken a look at our Day2Day pages you will see that if I am ever stuck for my photo a day, I will often get out a cooking utensil (or find something equally unusual) and play with lighting and shadows. Typically, I can be seen taking pictures of my family – my most favourite subjects. Work-wise, I love magazine work and weddings… I think that’s the storyteller … Read More
The evolution of a photograph
Quite often people enquire about my style of photography and how I come to take the photos that I do. Questions often go like this …
“What made you think to take that?”
“I didn’t see that … where was it?”
“How do you come up with ideas?”
The answers to these questions are varied but photos for me generally come in two ways. Sometimes a photo just presents itself in something that catches my eye and screams out to be photographed. Sometimes I have to work at it. I have a specific idea or brief and then it is a process of working that idea or concept into a physical image. I love both of these methods!
Here is an example of a little of the process of how an image came to be … kind of like the evolution of a photograph!

Love what you do … do what you love
I had one of those defining moments over this last week and it made me very happy!
A month ago I went out and photographed some images for a magazine story. I loved it and realised that I hadn’t had any magazine work recently and I had really missed it.
Then late last week, I had a call with information about two more stories to shoot in the next month. I read the amazing stories that I had been sent and I was excited about the possibility of bringing these stories to life with images. Then it hit me! I love photographing magazine stories because it really is what I do day in day out with our family photos, family albums and any other album that I create.
They really are so similar … we are all storytellers, with photos of our lives and the lives of our loved ones … Read More
