Nearly 11 years ago I walked away from my teaching career and never looked back. Well, I sneaked a peek every now and then. But I had made up my mind to not go back to teaching and literally threw every teaching resource away bit by bit. Earlier this year I felt like I had a lot of new and exciting projects in my ball court, but still had a nagging feeling that something was missing. So I decided to go back to teaching. I went and did a few professional development courses and a teacher refresher course run by my local University. And I AM BACK!

When the cat’s away…..
Published July 27, 2010 | In a recent blog Jan told you about the friendships and bonds the 13 of us have made over the past 5 months or so, some longer! She also mentioned that we all have different ‘jobs’ to do on the site and the facebook group. We get together most Mondays (my time, Sunday night US time) via an internet phone call and discuss p2P happenings. We do give updates about our ‘jobs’ and the teams we are working with to bring you so many wonderful new and exciting digital ideas and techniques. I was so happy to read that she also let you in on the little bit about the end of our calls … The HILARITY! This is the part of the call where we laugh (sometimes till we cry or worse!!!) at the craziest things. We joke and generally let our hair down and have fun.

How many times have you had those emails from friends come across your computer screen that ask you to fill in the blanks and answer the questions about what colour socks you are wearing? or if you are chocolate or vanilla? And then forward them on to 75 friends for something really good to happen to you. You know the ones! They are fun …. to start with! Then, well they just seem to become monotonous. Or are they???
Have you ever filled them in and then kept them? Then in a few months re-did it for a comparison?
Me either!

Plenty of people have asked me “Do you have a favourite photo?”
How do you ever really pick ONE favourite photo? I am sure to have thousands and thousands of photos that I have taken in the past and I know a lot of them are favourites. I have lots in frames around the house and have made some beautiful scrapbook pages with them, but to pick one as a favourite! Could you?
Well I have to admit….. there is one! I do have one ‘all-time’ favourite photo.
