Happy Holidays! With everyone being 48 hours into Chanukah and with just 48 hours left to Christmas, I know that EVERYONE is in a frenzy.  As you all know, I live in New York City.   Manhattan is the heart of the City.  The Bond household (which includes Flat Carolyn) took a break from the Day2Day to fulfill one of our family traditions. On December 17th, we went to Manhattan to enjoy the wonderful sights of the place we call home. Be sure to check out our Vlog to see what we have gotten into!

If you missed my short Vlog from last year. Here is the video for the laser light show 2010.  (This video was originally posted in my Thirteen Days of Christmas blog post 2010.)

I hope you enjoyed your brief Holiday Tour in the heart of New York City.  I hope to show you new adventures in 2012.

I love word art and expressing sentiment with words. ‘Tis the season for lots of pages and TONS of word art on those pages. The pixels2Pages Archives has some awesome techniques I bet some of you never new were even there.  Here are my top five techniques from the p2P Archives that I will be adapting and/or using on my “Holiday” pages.

Tameka’s Top Tidbit Techniques to use on Text

(Whew! that was a mouthful….)

Word Processor Art:  This is a great alternative for making your words pop off your pages.  It’s fun, it’s easy and it looks fabulous.

Pixel Power:  Pixel Power is soooooooo much easier with the text shape cutter available in Storybook Creator 4.0.  Check out this video and let’s see how powerful your pixels are.

From Basic Edge Cutters to Embellishments:  This video tidbit opens up so many possibilities with edge cutters.  Why not add text in the mix to create word art?

Swirl cut letters:  This will forever be one of my favorite techniques.   Not much I can say about it except watch it and put2Practice what you see.

Text Justification: While the technique shown in this video is not exactly what I have done here, it definitely has inspired what I have done.   Go give it a try!

Loved your Vlog Tameka! So fun to walk around Mahattan with your family and Carolyn! Loved the laser light show! What a very fun place to be for Christmas. I think TJ should head on out to Caroyln’s for a month and earn all those quarters and dimes he wants! 🙂

Thank you so much for the tour. Would love to see Manhattan at Christmas time in person. I agree with Carolyn. Could we see more of Macy’s windows next year? Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Oh, I forgot about some of these techniques! Thanks for reminding us/me! LOL!

Those children are going to hate me by the time I finally meet them. 🙂 ‘Oh Mom, sure, it’s Flat C in person… do we have to take another picture with her?” 🙂 LOVED this year’s vlog again. It’s so amazingly beautiful and probably something I’ll never see in person. I’ll put a request in for more window displays at Macy’s next year and year 3 of the Saks building. I really love the light shows! And I love you too.
