If you’re a frequent visitor to our website, you may have noticed some changes this week. As you know, we’re constantly looking for ways that we can improve the site and make it easier for you to find things. We love your feedback and we really pay attention to it, so please let us know what you think about these (experimental for now) changes. Since I’ve been away on pixels2Pages business these past couple of weekends, I’ve had plenty of opportunities to hear from both new and veteran visitors. I’ve probably also mentioned that I answer most of the ‘contact us’ emails, so I hear about the things that trouble you and about the things you love. I make it a point to share what I learn with the team, and off we go, back to the drawing board!
The first thing I want to call your attention to is our Back2Basics membership, which is complete with all twelve lessons! If you’re a Pixels2Pages member and you haven’t taken a look at Back2Basics yet, I encourage you to do so. This membership is designed for people who have recently installed StoryBook Creator, or for those who have installed it but haven’t used it, or for those who have been stumbling along, or for those who have made lots of StoryBooks but pretty much taught themselves to do it, or for Consultants who want to make sure that they can send their customers here with confidence, or – well, you get the picture! We think everyone will find something they love about Back2Basics! If you’re a seasoned SBC user, you’ll breeze right through the twelve lessons, and we hope you will – because like I said – we appreciate your feedback!
Since I see all of your questions, I’ve helped compile our Frequently Asked Questions (and Answers!). Even though they’ve been on the site all along (hiding under the HELP globe), we’ve moved them up to the top of the right hand side of the web pages so that you can find them easily. I encourage you to check there before clicking that ‘contact us’ button, as it may save you some time if your question has already been answered and you don’t have to wait for me to answer. If you still don’t find what you’re looking for, click the HELP globe. There is lots of good information there – like how to make the website look right if you’re using Internet Explorer or how to navigate the website.
Although we have been tagging all of our posts in an effort to help you find challenges, videos, and tips related to the same subject, we know that it’s still hard to find things sometimes. At last count, we had over 200 videos on the website, along with over 100 challenges and countless tips! Add in almost 500 blog posts, around 50 Blueprints, and lots of Pixie Dust, PLUS the new things that get added almost every day – there’s a lot of goodness waiting here for you! So we’ve added a list of our most frequently used tags, also on the right hand side of the web pages. Just click on a tag that interests you and you’ll see everything on the site that is tagged with that topic! How easy is that?
And if you were missing the ‘recent posts’ list, don’t despair! It’s still on the right side of the page – it’s just moved down a little bit. Scroll down to see the last twenty posts available to your membership. If you haven’t signed up for RSS feeds yet, that’s a good way to make sure you don’t miss a thing!
Just below the recent posts list is our signature portfolio, Going Global. Because this portfolio is available to the public, it’s the only one that you have permission to show your friends or customers. It’s a great way to let people see a small sample of the kind of training that’s available on pixels2Pages.net. If they’re still not sure if they want to take the plunge, remember that we offer a one-time 10 day FREE trial, which allows access to everything EXCEPT Back2Basics, Blueprints, and Pixie Dust.
We’ve also begun adding ‘retirement dates’ to each Blueprint post. We hope these help you stay on top of your downloading tasks – and remember to download your Pixie Dust at the same time, and be sure to back those files up!
We hope these features will make it easier for you to find your way around the website. If you have opinions or suggestions, please leave a comment below.
Have fun with it!
