Changes at p2P

It’s been a busy spring/summer/fall, and there have been lots of changes both at p2P and everywhere.  We Pixies have even had a hard time keeping up with our new schedule!  And more changes are on the way for us, as we bid farewell to Pixie Jeannine, whose busy life with teenagers is not leaving her as much p2P time as she would like.  Just so you know, I don’t think there would even BE a pixels2Pages.net website without Jeannine, as she was instrumental in getting our website designed and up and running, and she’s kept us going, especially during times of crisis.  She has definitely been our go-to girl whenever there was a problem of the technical variety, and we will miss her terribly!  I have a feeling she may still get a panicked phone call every now and then….  All of our best to you, Jeannine, as your adventure continues.  We’ll be with you in spirit, and you know where to find us!

Since we’re a few pixies short of full, we’ve asked one of our loyal peeps, Penny Peterson, to come on board as a ‘Pixie-in-training’.  With initials like that, how could we resist?  Penny has a background in IT, so we are looking forward to having her on our team.  We’ll be breaking her in easy (ha!) so you may not be seeing her doing videos just yet, but we hope you’ll join us in welcoming her.  You may want to have a look back at Tameka’s interview with Penny so that you can learn a bit about her.  Penny, we’re happy to have you!

IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT RETIRING BLUEPRINTS and PIXIE DUST:

Starting this month, we’ll be archiving (instead of retiring)  Blueprints released since September 2012.  This means that you should be able to access all of those Blueprints released since the day you became a P2P member. (Note: This does not include Blueprints and Pixie Dust released prior to September 2012.)

This is GOOD NEWS for our members; if you are thinking about joining p2P, be aware that while you’ll have access to the November 2013 Blueprints and Pixie Dust, your membership will not include Blueprints and Pixie Dust released before that.  Likewise, if you joined us in March 2013, you won’t have access to Blueprints released prior to that date.  But don’t despair – we are looking at ways we can start offering Blueprint and Pixie Dust Collections for sale.  We plan to make Blueprints released between April 2010 and September 2012 available for sale, as well.  Stay tuned for more info!

October at p2P

Blueprints:  There were bunches of Blueprints, brought to you by Anne, Justine, Janice, Shelley, Mary, Tameka, and Kim.  And in case that wasn’t enough, ALL of the monthly Blueprints are available in one easy download!  And remember – we’re still offering 11 x 8.5″ pages!  NOTE: Next month’s Blueprints will be presented in one post on the final Saturday of this month.  We hope this will make it easier for you to download and use our Blueprints.  We’d love your feedback!

  • October Blueprints: Twin Peaks (DPS), Queen Victoria Market (DPS), Triangle Seven (DPS), The Gift, License Plates, and Tortugas
  • November Blueprints: Time to…. (DPS), Farmers’ Market (DPS), Grand Bazaar (DPS), Faith, Poppykettle, and Celebrate
  • Remember to save and print the Blueprint Checklists for your reference!

Pixie Dust:  Perfect for lots of pages, these fabulous designs for November were created by Anne, Kerrianne, Justine, Kim, and Mary.  And there’s more!  You can get all of your Pixie Dust in one download!  NOTE: Next month’s Pixie Dust will be presented in one large collection on the final Saturday of the month.  We hope this will make it easier for you to download and use Pixie Dust.  We’d love your feedback!

We’ve gotten lots of feedback about the mega monthly downloads, most of it overwhelmingly positive; however, some of you miss coming to the website on Wednesdays and Fridays to download your goodies.  We want you to know that we’re listening and watching, and always thinking of ways to make your p2P experience the best it can be.  One thing that we intended to do in October, but we didn’t do too successfully, was to feature a Blueprint every Wednesday and some Saturdays and to feature a Pixie Dust Collection every Friday on our Facebook page.  We will attempt to do better this month!  We’ll do a shout out as if the Blueprint or Pixie Dust had been released that day, along with posting some sample pages for you.  So, if you’re missing weekly downloads, try this: download the monthly collection and save it to your computer, but wait until ‘release day’ to open and unzip the appropriate Blueprint or Pixie Dust.  We know it’s not exactly the same, but it could work!  And remember that now we’re posting our blog posts on the days that would have had Blueprints and Pixie Dust posts.

ChallengesDid you try something new?  This month’s Challenges were popular, if our Facebook page was any indication.  If you haven’t already, post your completed Challenge pages on there.  We love seeing how you interpret them!  If you enjoyed these, Mary, Kerrianne, Janice, and Justine are the ones who created them.

  • 175: Water Drop Background
  • 176: Multi Mats
  • 177: Colourful Text Backgrounds
  • 178: Pop Art Portraits

Tips: Our Tips were awesome last month!  If you’re not in the habit of reading them, you’re missing out.  Everything you always needed to know, but didn’t know who to ask!  The answer? You don’t have to ask – with your P2P membership, the answers are at your fingertips, only a search or a tag away!

Videos: Lights, action, camera!  We’re trying something new this year – each month, we’ll be focusing on one ribbon in Artisan.  In October, the Home Ribbon was the star, as you may have noticed in these videos.   Sit back and enjoy – then make a page and post it for us!

Ongoing offerings at p2P

Free Trial – In June, we began showcasing a standard, static sampling of each of the things we offer, including Blueprints, Pixie Dust, and B2B.  This Free Trial is open to anyone, does not require registration, and may be viewed for as long as you want.  We’d love to hear what you think! If you have friends undecided about joining p2P, send them to our free trial so they can try before they buy.

p2P LIVE!:  Good times were had at Morgan Hill (CA) and New York City p2P LIVE events last month!  Kim and Tameka reported how awesome the attendees were, and we all loved seeing the pages posted on our Facebook page.  The next LIVE event is scheduled for Livonia, MI,  January 10 – 12, 2014.  Watch for details coming soon.

FAQs, Help! and News:  If these sections aren’t the first places you go when you have a question, they should be!  Almost all of your questions about memberships, PayPal, and MUCH, MUCH MORE are answered here, and you won’t have to wait for us to answer your emails.

  • Annual Membership Holders: Is Your PayPal Information Correct?  NOTE: If you purchased an annual membership last November, it will be AUTOMATICALLY renewing this month.  If you do not wish to continue your membership YOU must cancel payments BEFORE their due date.  Remember that we have a no refund policy.  Check your renewal date by logging into your PayPal account.  Membership fees will be increasing on 1 January 2014, so keep that in mind – it may be a good time to switch from a monthly to an annual membership, if that’s something you were considering.

Please have a look in our FAQs, especially if you have membership and/or PayPal questions, before using the Contact Us button.

Back2Basics: We are loving seeing beginners and seasoned Artisan and SBC users learning things in Back2Basics!  Even if you are a veteran digital scrapper, we encourage you to take time to review these lessons.  I can almost guarantee you will learn SOMETHING!  Keep in mind that if you are self-taught (or were, at the beginning) you may be doing something the hard way.  We found out we Pixies were doing lots of things the long way around!  The Back2Basics course is available as part of the Pixels2Pages membership through the end of the year.  Beginning in 2014, it will be available as a separate purchase.  We are in the process of updating B2B to reflect our switch to Artisan.

How do I contact you if I don’t want to post to blog, FB, etc? Is there an email?

  2. Welcome Penny! You are working with a wonderful group of very talented ladies! And, Jeannine – thank you for all you invested with p2P. Love those kiddos – they’ll be gone before you realize it! From one night owl to another – Hoot! Hoot!

    • Penny Peterson says:

Maureen, you are so right about the amazing talent here in PixieLand. What a great group to be part of. And I’ll second the Hoot!Hoot! since the owl was my college mascot.

  3. Caroline says:

Tameka, in your “spare” time, we need the horribly cute calendars that you used to create! These are great, but lack all your “decorative” talent which I miss terribly!

  4. Alison Woof says:

Jeannine we will miss you so much! You are such a funky, fun, creative person. Hoping this change will give you more time to scrap, and that we’ll keep seeing your pages on facebook (especially pictures of your adorable goats). And welcome Penny! I love your style, so glad we’ll get to benefit from your creativity and skills. Have fun with it!

  5. Robin Parsons says:

I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed being a p2P member!! I joined just a couple of months ago and I am absolutely amazed at how much I’ve learned!! My digital pages are popping like never before! And I’ve been doing digital since it first came out with CM! I love everything about p2P. And I so appreciate getting prompt answers to the questions I had when I first joined! Thank you Pixies!

  6. Feedback on all-at-once downloads – Love, love, LOVE them! Best way ever to be sure I get them all and all saved.
Love the monthly calendar with events – it now hangs over my desk!
Welcome Penny – best of everything to you, Jeannine – stay one step ahead of those teenagers 🙂

  7. Sandy Norman says:

Thank you to Jeannine for all she has done to help with the development of p2P. I have always enjoyed your spirit and feel like we would be good friends if we were closer. I totally understand the craziness that is upon you now as your kids get older. Please keep in touch with us.
And welcome to Penny. I look forward to all you have to offer us.
Can’t wait for next weekend. Glad i saw this before anything else showed up on my calendar. I know what I will be doing!!

    • Jan says:

We love Jeannine and her spirit, too, Sandy, and we will miss her bunches! We think Penny will fit right in – we just need to try not to scare her off! So happy you can make the crop next weekend!

    • Penny Peterson says:

Sandy, I am excited to be a part of pixels2Pages in a new way. And I can’t wait for the upcoming crop – I have cleared my calendar! (So what if more unpacked boxes from my recent move are still stacked in the dining room?)

  8. jsquare says:

Jeanine, bah humbug. But I totally get it. And WELCOME, Pretty Pixie Penny Peterson, a perfectly pleasurable addition to the Pixies.
