KH Blog HeaderNew Friends

When I first met these 3 gorgeous girls, I didn’t really even know them! But in fact I had known them for a long time!

I have been following an online blog and an Instagram tag (#) for over 12 months now and that is how we all met. Posting similar photos and just generally chatting and ‘liking’ each others pics. After posting a photo from our local show we all discovered we lived in the same city! It’s amazing how different people’s lives can be interconnected, but not really know that until one thing links them all together. After this, we decided it was time to finally get together and actually meet in 3D!

On the morning I was going for the coffee, my husband asks “What if one of them is an ‘axe murderer’??”

Well, that story has been told before and Jan McCallum may well have been an axe murderer the time she came to Sydney to stay at Shelley Alexander’s house – and you all know how that story ended!! (Well, p2P is what it is today on the hopes that Jan was NOT in fact an axe murderer!!)

Back to the coffee … the four of us instantly hit it off and talked for about 3 hours about anything and everything and felt like we had known each other for years! In fact, the funniest thing happened. I really thought that I recognised Clare and that her voice was familiar. Later she said the same about me. You see, around 10 years ago I did a Creative Memories demonstration for her at her home and she bought some products to start scrapbooking! Of course our instant friendship was re-kindled from all those years ago and it really is true .. it’s such a small world! Not just to meet people who know other people you know, but to re-meet people you may have met in a ‘previous life’.

Not everyone you ‘meet’ on the internet is an axe murderer! If that were true, I’d have HUNDREDS of axe murdering acquaintances and some of them are likely to read this 🙂

My “axe murderer” is one of my best friends. Met on and decided to go to a weekend crop together, sharing a room. Boy did we both have two nervous husbands that weekend!!!!! We don’t live close so we only see each other 2 times a year for our weekend get-a-ways but she’s the best!

It looks like you comically coordinated your sunglasses as well! Or maybe all ace murderers like that same look. :-). It was a fun read. Thanks for sharing your experience. ( Which one is the green tea friend?)
