Rabbit, RabbitWe’re one month into the new year – hope it’s still a happy one for you!  How are you doing on your new year’s resolutions?  We have a whole group of digital scrapbookers who are wearing Fitbits and walking their way to health.  We’d love to have you join us – check out our Facebook event and/or join our Fitbit community.  Don’t have a Fitbit?  If you want one, we’d love for you to click our affiliate link HERE to order yours.  Even if you don’t have a Fitbit, you’re welcome to join us on our quest to shed some pounds!

Have you gotten lots of pages done?  Ordering books and projects from the Panstoria Print Shop?  What are your scrapbooking goals for 2014?  You know that sharing them here will help keep you accountable!  Are you working on a Day2Day project?  Have you checked out our new Daily Files 2014 kit (available in the Panstoria store)?  We love seeing your Day2Day pages on our Facebook page!

I’d like to remind you to take a quick look at your PayPal accounts and make sure your payment information is current (check expiration dates!) and correct (did you get a new credit card after the Target debacle?) so that your recurring payments can be processed without a lapse in service.  By now, those of you paying monthly should have received notice about the slight price increase that began last month.  Those of you who pay annually will get notice of the price change a few weeks before it will take effect.

We recently added an enhancement to our PayPal services that will allow you to purchase memberships by using your credit card without having to have a PayPal account.  We have heard from some of you that you don’t like having to pay via PayPal; if that’s something you’d like to change, you can now.  Log into your PayPal account to make that change.  If you have friends or clients who have avoided getting a membership because of PayPal, please let them know about this change.

January at p2P

As always, we had something new and interesting for you almost every day last month.  Here’s a quick recap of the January posts:

Monday – ChallengesThis month’s Challenge and Video Theme revolved around the CUT and FILL RIBBON.  Did you try something new?  If you haven’t already, post your cScreen Shot 2013-12-31 at 1.58.59 PMompleted Challenge pages on our Facebook page.  We love seeing how you interpret these challenges created by Justine, Kim, Mary, and Kerrianne.  We’ve made a change that we hope will make it easier for you to find the challenge you need – check out the drop down menu (in the blue bar).  You’ll see that challenges have been categorized into themes!

Have you had a look at our Challenges Gallery?  If you’ve posted Challenge pages on our Facebook page, you may see them here!

Tuesday – Tips: Our Tips were awesome last month – and guess what – we are categorizing them, too.  If you’re not in the habit of reading the Tips, you’re missing out.  One of our favorite sayings at p2P is, “You don’t know what you don’t know”, so the nice part is that you don’t have to ask – you just need to read the Tips.  With your p2P membership, the answers are at your fingertips, thanks to Shelley and Anne.

Wednesday – BlueprintsBlueprints for January and February were created for you by Anne, Janice, Shelley, Kerrianne, and Mary.  According to our inbox, most p2P members are loving that ALL of the monthly Blueprints are available in one easy download – and that we’re still offering 11″ x 8.5″ pages!  If you are not sold on the ‘all at once’ download idea, you can use Wednesdays as a day to go to the website and look through our Blueprint gallery for ideas.  Or use that week’s Blueprint and post your pages on our Facebook page – whatever works for you!

  • January Blueprints: Didyma (DPS), Snail’s Pace (DPS), Travel (DPS), Folk Art Memory Board, Serious Sandpit Stuff, Weave
  • February Blueprints: Pompeii (DPS), Stitched Tabs (DPS), The Ruins (DPS),  Feribot, Gumnut Babies, Perfect Place
  • Remember to save and print the Blueprint Checklists for your reference!

Thursday – Videos: Lights, camera, action!   Our January featured ribbon was the Cut and Fill ribbon, as you may have noticed in these videos.   Sit back and enjoy – then make a page and post it for us!  Thanks to Mary, Jan, Tameka, Shelley, and Janice  for these fantastic videos.

Friday – Pixie Dust:  Perfect for lots of pages, these fabulous designs for December and January were created by our talented Design Team: Kerrianne, Mary, Justine, Anne, Janice, and Kim.

NOTE: Coming soon, there will be a change in the way we deliver Pixie Dust in an effort to make things easier for you to find and use your Pixie Dust.  Rather than having four small collections each month, we’ll be offering two larger collections – same number of embellishments for you, but it will be easier to locate and organize things.  In addition, you’ll have what you need to make a page or two (or more) from one coordinated collection of Pixie Dust.

We’ve gotten lots of feedback about the mega monthly downloads, most of it overwhelmingly positive; however, we’ve heard that some of you miss coming to the website on Wednesdays and Fridays to download your goodies.  We do a shout out on our Facebook page as if the Blueprint or Pixie Dust had been released that day, along with posting some sample pages for you.  So, if you’re missing weekly downloads, try this: download the monthly collection and save it to your computer, but wait until ‘release day’ to open and unzip the appropriate Blueprint or Pixie Dust.  We know it’s not exactly the same, but it could work!  And remember that now we’re posting our blog posts on the days that would have had Blueprints and Pixie Dust posts.

Ongoing offerings at p2P

p2P LIVE Events: We had two super LIVE events in January – I trained 130+ digital scrapbookers in Livonia, Michigan at the 4th annual retreat hosted by Anna Broome, and Mary trained scrapbookers at a 30 hour marathon crop in Silverton, Oregon, hosted by Pam Winn and Maureen Fiest.  Thanks to our hostesses and all who attended.  Kim Mannino hosted a ‘no frills’ crop in Morgan Hill, California – I hear a good time was had by all!  Take a look at some of the pages completed at LIVE events in our p2P LIVE Gallery.

Upcoming LIVE events – we hope you’ll join us:

  • Silverton, OR (private event; trainer: Mary)
  • New York City, May 3-4, 2014 (limit 25 attendees; trainer: Tameka)
  • Mackinac Island, MI May 30 – June 3, 2014 (limit 50 attendees; trainers: Tameka and Kim)
  • Durham, NC June 20-22, 2014 (registration opening soon – stay tuned!)
  • Naples, FL Sept 26-28, 2014 (registration open later)

If you would like to host a LIVE event, please contact us at info@pixels2Pages.net.  We are open to coming anywhere that someone is willing to serve as our local coordinator/host.  We do have minimum requirements, but we’re happy to work with you!

Free Trial – We’ve added in several free tutorials for Panstoria Artisan and Historian users.  The new tutorials added are:

This Free Trial is open to anyone, does not require registration, and may be viewed for as long as you want.  We’d love to hear what you think! If you have friends undecided about joining p2P, send them to our free trial so they can try before they buy.

Back2Basics: We are loving seeing beginners and seasoned Artisan and SBC users learning things in Back2Basics!  Even if you are a veteran digital scrapper, we encourage you to take time to review these lessons.  I can almost guarantee you will learn SOMETHING!  Keep in mind that if you are self-taught (or were, at the beginning) you may be doing something the hard way.

The Back2Basics course has been revamped to include training on both Artisan and SBC.  Remember that Back2Basics is no longer included as part of a Pixels2Pages membership, effective last month.   You’ll need to purchase a separate Back2Basics membership if you’d like access to this training, unless you are an APPO member.

FAQs, Help! and News:  If these sections aren’t the first places you go when you have a question, they should be!  Almost all of your questions about memberships, PayPal, and MUCH, MUCH MORE are answered here, and you won’t have to wait for us to answer your emails.

Please have a look at our FAQs (especially if you have membership and/or PayPal questions) before using the Contact Us button – you’ll get a much quicker response!

News regarding our industry partners

APPO: I’d like to remind APPO (Association of Personal Photo Organizers) members that they can sign up for a free Back2Basics membership by emailing us at info@pixels2Pages.net and letting us know they’ve agreed to our Terms of Use and supplying us with a p2P user name that is not an email address, and listing their APPO ID number.

The APPO National Conference will be held February 12 – 15, 2014, in Dallas, Texas, and pixels2Pages will be there as a sponsor for a breakout and as an industry partner exhibitor.   In addition, I will be speaking on Saturday afternoon, so we hope you will be there, too!  HERE is a link to the program details and HERE is the link to register.  Be sure and check out the Sweetheart deal, too.  See you there!

Panstoria Digital Content: We are so excited about all the news coming from Panstoria!  Lots of new kits are in the Panstoria store, and there’s even a special category for new content!  We’d love it if you clicked through our affiliate link to purchase content, then go to either “New Content” or “Digital Content” to make your purchases.  Some of what you’ll find in the New Content section:

  • Two new offerings from p2P!  The “Daily Files 2014” kit and “Mali” Blueprint Book (both in two sizes – 12 x 12″ and 11 x 8.5″)
  • A handful of fun kits from Kaisercraft (more to come!)
  • Two dozen fabulous kits from Little Feet Digital Designs by Janet Carr
  • Almost 100 gorgeous kits from Cottage Arts!

NOTE: When you see kits from pixels2Pages for sale in the Panstoria store, you’ll know that they are exclusive to the Panstoria store unless we clearly state something different.  This means that they are not available as part of any of our memberships nor have they been.

If there are Creative Memories kits that you missed or still want, you only have until 27 March 2014 to purchase them.  We would appreciate it if you would make your digital artwork purchases from our affiliate link – click HERE to do that.

We’re also hearing great things from members who have ordered from the Panstoria Print Shop.  It’s always fun when members post pictures of their latest creations and give positive reviews!  But as with any new endeavor, there have been a few bumps along the way – sometimes  it’s not as quick and easy to get through to the Panstoria Help Line as it was to get assistance from Creative Memories, since technical support (especially live tech support) is very expensive and almost unheard of for online companies.  If you have any concerns about your Panstoria Print Shop order, there is a phone number on the shipping label for you to call.  If you are trying to print and have questions or problems, please check these resources FIRST:

New Affiliates: We’ve been busy researching a number of companies whose products and services we’d like to share with you, and our newest affiliate is the Australian company, myStory.  Read all about this company, what they offer, how it works, and what’s in it for you HERE.  We appreciate those of you who have ordered through our affiliate links for Dazzling Reflections and Fitbit.  These companies all offer products or services used by all or some of us at pixels2Pages, and we don’t like keeping good news to ourselves!  As affiliates for these companies, we will provide you with information about their products and services, along with links and/or coupon codes for you to use if you are interested in purchasing something from those companies.  Click the links below for more information about each of these products:

You’ll find links to our affiliates on the last page of tabs:Screen Shot 2014-01-30 at 10.35.47 AM

Jan, I really want to stop using paypal – I have had endless trouble with them. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with them on Saturday and my account is still not set up correctly. How would I go about changing this to pay you directly with my credit card? And if I change it, would I still have access to everything pixels2Pages has posted in the past weeks or would it start me out like a new member without being able to look at past posts?

    • Jan says:

Valma, since this is a brand new feature for us I am not positive, but I would think that you would want to cancel your current membership via your PayPal account and then purchase a new one HERE. I will send you a message with your renewal date.

  2. Sheryl Gibson says:

Are all tips and handouts part of back to basics now? I took the course when I became a member and remember there being lots of other video tips on here that weren’t part of b2b. Now when I click on tips and tricks almost all links say “not included in your membership”. I was specifically looking for the video on blending edges of pictures on the page. It seems like design tips like that are not basics.

    • Jan says:

Sheryl, it looks like PayPal was not able to process your payment yesterday, which is why you aren’t seeing member-only posts like tips and videos today. They will try again on the 13th, so please make sure your payment info is correct and current. HERE is an FAQ with more information.

      • Sheryl Gibson says:

Thanks for quick response. I see it went through on my computer today. I had a problem with it too after I wrote this response and took care of it. I didn’t connect that to causing problems here. I didn’t think you guys would add other things to the basics program. Thanks again!

So Excited that you are coming Durham, NC!!! Yay! No travel expenses for me! I am going to block my calendar now.

  4. Just a positive review on Dazzling Reflections- the customer support and contact was excellent. Plus the digital designs were different and easy to use. A video tutorial on how to use the software was even included.
