By the time you read this, I will be in the middle of major Mardi Gras celebrations, so Rabbit, Rabbit and Happy Mardi Gras! Down here on the Gulf Coast of Texas, Mardi Gras is a big deal – Galveston’s celebration is second only to New Orleans (Queen of Mardi Gras festivities) in the United States. My daughter and her fiance’ drove down for the big party and parade day. We will be whooping it up at the over-the-top San Luis Salute and then tossing beads to the revelers from the rooftop of a restaurant on the Strand as the floats and marching bands go by.
Business before pleasure, though, right? We have been working on some fun new things for you here in Pixieland! Coming soon, we will be unveiling (drum roll, please!) a new affiliate program for our p2P members!! Many of you are already Panstoria affiliates, and we hope that those of you with lots of digi-scrapping friends will become p2P affiliates, too. In case you don’t know what that means, let me explain.
In the world of internet marketing, affiliate programs allow businesses (like p2P) to reward people like you (affiliates) who contract with us to bring new customers to the business. So, it’s sort of like a referral program on steroids. You tell your friends about pixels2Pages and ask them to join us by clicking through your affiliate link, and when they do, you will earn a commission. How cool is that? We’re hoping it won’t take us too long to get things set up, and we’re almost ready to start that process. As soon as everything is in place, we will let you know. We appreciate your referrals and can’t wait to reward you for them!
That’s just the tip of the iceberg – more fun stuff is on the horizon! Be sure to read below about Panstoria’s new affiliate program for printing, too! But for now, let’s take a look back at February – as always, we had something new and interesting for you almost every day last month. Here’s a quick recap of the February posts:
Monday – Challenges: This month’s Challenge and Video Theme revolved around the Color ribbon. Did you try something new? If you haven’t already, post your completed Challenge pages on our Facebook page. We love seeing how you interpret these challenges, created last month by Justine, Kim, Mary, and Janice.
- Challenge 192: Black and White Photos
- Challenge 193: Color Wash Photos
- Challenge 194: Color Curve
- Challenge 195: Sepia Sensation
NOTE: If you are a fan of our Challenges and Blueprints Galleries, please know that we have upgraded our gallery software recently, and you may notice some ongoing changes and possibly even some glitches here and there. Please be patient as the galleries load – there are a lot of images in them and it may take a while.
Tuesday – Tips: If you’re not in the habit of reading the Tips, you’re missing out. One of our favorite sayings at p2P is, “You don’t know what you don’t know”, so the nice part is that you don’t have to ask – you just need to read the Tips. With your p2P membership, the answers are at your fingertips, thanks this month to Shelley and Justine:
- Artisan Tip: Converting Projects
- Historian Tip: Scanning Multiple Photos at Once
- Artisan Tip: Options in Artisan – General Options
- Photography Tip: Time to Reflect
Wednesday – Blueprints: Blueprints for February and March were created for you by Anne, Janice, Shelley, Kerrianne, Tameka, Justine, and Mary. We love it when you post your completed pages that started with Blueprints on our Facebook page – remember to use hashtags like #p2PNameofBlueprintBP (#p2PPompeiiBP) when you post.
- February Blueprints: Pompeii (DPS), Stitched Tabs (DPS), The Ruins (DPS), Feribot, Gumnut Babies, Perfect Place
- March Blueprints: Beach Panorama (DPS), Seven in a Box (DPS), Fireworks (DPS), Shopping, Reasons to Smile, Lorikeets
- Remember to save and print the Blueprint Checklists for your reference!
Thursday – Videos: Lights, camera, action! I love the movies – hope you enjoyed the February videos!
- Start2Finish: This Is Our Life – Penny walks through the steps needed to make a new Facebook cover image
- Setting the Mood – Kim shows how to use the temperature tool (Color ribbon) to change the mood of your page or photo
- Magical Makeover – Kerrianne is having even more fun with the magic wand!
- Historian/Artisan Image Editor VT: Levels – you won’t believe what a few adjustments will do – and Justine makes it easy to understand!
Friday – Pixie Dust: Perfect for lots of pages, these fabulous designs for February and March were created by our talented Design Team: Kerrianne, Mary, Justine, Anne, Janice, and Kim.
- February Big Collection: Love Blooms, Special Delivery, Lines and Designs, Love Washi Collection
- March Big Collection: Retro Borders, Tags & Strips, The Subtle Collection, Lovely Little Dots
NOTE: Coming soon, there will be a change in the way we deliver Pixie Dust in an effort to make things easier for you to find and use your Pixie Dust. Rather than having four small collections each month, we’ll be offering two larger collections – same number of embellishments for you, but it will be easier to locate and organize things. In addition, you’ll have what you need to make a page or two (or more) from one coordinated collection of Pixie Dust.
Behind the Globe – Blog Posts: Every month, each p2P team member takes a turn blogging about her life – family, friends, hobbies, travel, food, photography, and of course, scrapbooking! We hope these posts give you a glimpse into our lives and offer a little peek ‘behind the globe’. Every now and then, you’ll even find a tip or a goodie, and there’s almost always a new scrapbook page attached. Enjoy!
- Shelley’s Scribbles – An Unexpected Turn
- Happy Talk with Jan – I Love Going Home Again
- Adventures of a Bond Girl by Tameka – Note to Self
- Alison’s Blog – Words & Pictures
- The Buzz by Mary- Choose Joy
- Pooh’s Musings with Anne – What Happened to January
- Penny’s Blog – In Which I Met a Bird
- Kim’s Blog – Celebrating 23 Years
- Justine’s Blog – A Big Decision
- Janice Gee’s Journal – The Average Day

P.S. We love it when you comment on our blogs!

Free Trial – We’ve added in several free tutorials for Panstoria Artisan and Historian users. The new tutorials added are:
- Tour of the Artisan Workspace (downloadable PDF)
- Something Old, Something New (video tidbit about Artisan)
- Printing at the Panstoria Print Shop (several downloadable PDFs)
- Importing Content purchased at Panstoria.com (video tidbit, NEW in February)
This Free Trial is open to anyone, does not require registration, and may be viewed for as long as you want. We’d love to hear what you think! If you have friends undecided about joining p2P, send them to our free trial so they can try before they buy.
Back2Basics: We are loving seeing beginners and seasoned Artisan and SBC users learning things in Back2Basics! Even if you are a veteran digital scrapper, we encourage you to take time to review these lessons. I can almost guarantee you will learn SOMETHING! Keep in mind that if you are self-taught (or were, at the beginning) you may be doing something the hard way.
The Back2Basics course has been revamped to include training on both Artisan and SBC. Remember that Back2Basics is no longer included as part of a Pixels2Pages membership, effective 31 December 2013. You’ll need to purchase a separate Back2Basics membership if you’d like access to this training, unless you are an APPO member.
FAQs, Help! and News: If these sections aren’t the first places you go when you have a question, they should be! Almost all of your questions about memberships, PayPal, and MUCH, MUCH MORE are answered here, and you won’t have to wait for us to answer your emails.
Please have a look at our FAQs (especially if you have membership and/or PayPal questions) before using the Contact Us button – you’ll get a much quicker response!
News regarding our industry partners
APPO: Mary and I had the pleasure of representing pixels2Pages and Panstoria as exhibitors at the recent Association of Personal Photo Organizers Conference in Dallas, Texas. We were so impressed with the variety and the scope of the speakers – the training we received (yes, even the exhibitors got to participate in the conference!) was top-notch! We enjoyed meeting and speaking with a number of our members and fans, and hopefully we attracted some new members, too! Congratulations to Eric Eccarius, who won a six-month membership to pixels2Pages. If you’re an APPO member, make plans now to attend next year’s conference in Orlando in April – it will be worth it!
Panstoria: We are so excited about all the news coming from Panstoria! Last month, they added PDF files of every digital content kit in the store to make it super easy to know what you are getting. You can go straight from the PDF page to purchase the kits you want. We’d love it if you clicked through our affiliate link to make your purchases.
Have you heard that Panstoria has introduced an affiliate program for PRINTING? Woo hoo! We at pixels2Pages will be print affiliates, too (of course!), so if you do not plan to become an affiliate and you aren’t already working with someone who is, we hope you will consider printing through our affiliate link. We’ll be publishing it as soon as it’s ready.
Have you purchased the “Daily Files 2014” kit and “Mali” Blueprint Book (both in two sizes – 12 x 12″ and 11 x 8.5″)? We are in the process of adding a few more Blueprints to the Daily Files. If you have already purchased it, you will receive an email from Panstoria with a link so that you can download the new Blueprints as soon as they are in the store.
NOTE: When you see kits from pixels2Pages for sale in the Panstoria store, you’ll know that they are exclusive to the Panstoria store unless we clearly state something different. This means that they are not available as part of any of our memberships nor have they been.
If there are Creative Memories kits that you missed or still want, you only have until 27 March 2014 to purchase them. We would appreciate it if you would make your digital artwork purchases from our affiliate link – click HERE to do that.
We’re also hearing great things from members who have ordered from the Panstoria Print Shop, and we want to share our appreciation with all of you who have chosen to use the PPS as your preferred printer. It’s certainly the easiest way to order printed projects, whether you are using Artisan or StoryBook Creator, and your support of Panstoria is crucial. Those of us who love Artisan want to be able to keep using it for many years, and printing at PPS is one way to make sure that happens.
It’s always fun when members post pictures of their latest creations and give positive reviews! As with any new endeavor, there have been a few bumps along the way – sometimes it’s not as quick and easy to get through to the Panstoria Help Line as it was to get assistance from Creative Memories, since technical support (especially live tech support) is very expensive and almost unheard of for online companies. If you have any concerns about your Panstoria Print Shop order, there is a phone number on the shipping label for you to call. If you are trying to print and have questions or problems, please check these resources FIRST:
- Printing at the Panstoria Print Shop (downloadable PDF instructions)
- Panstoria FAQs (your questions answered about Panstoria, Artisan, Historian, Digital Content, and Panstoria Print Shop)
- Panstoria Help Zone
