Have you heard the news? It’s our 4th birthday month – and to celebrate, we are having a crop. A “Birthday Bash Crop” to be exact. It has been so much fun to work on this event with the team – planning, discussing, more planning, drafting, selecting, designing, some more planning, and of course – adding more new ideas for the crop as we go along (as we always seem to do on the p2P Team). It’s almost like that age old question “how long is a piece of string?” when it comes to organising a big event like this. Yes, it is a big event – it’s our 4th Birthday! I can’t believe that it has been four years already! From our first meeting at the end of 2009, to when we launched our very first website and our Facebook Group in April 2010 – we have been planning and moving that ball park to make our website bigger, better, smoother, sleeker, quicker, and even more friendly than ever. But – I digress, back to the crop! We have picked out some old faves to share with you, and of course, we have some birthday favours to give out as well. So stay tuned to everything as we kick off on Friday, April 25th, right through to (and including) April 27th. I can’t share with you right now what we will be doing during the crop – you’ll just have to make sure to check in each morning and each evening to see what we have for you on the website – and of course, we can’t wait to see all your fabulous layouts as the crop progresses. We’ll have badges to collect, Blueprints to fill, Challenges to complete, and an extra special treat in store for you that I really can’t talk about – but I know you’re going to love it (shhhhhhhhhhh!!!). Part of the fun of the Virtual Crops we have is seeing everyone completing pages, and projects using not only the crop themed offerings, but also all the fabulous pixels2Pages techniques that we have shared with you over the years. I am so lucky to be involved with such a great group of women who constantly push the boundaries and seek out new and wonderful ways to utilise the fabulous Artisan Software.

So ….. while I’ve been busy doing crop business, and other p2P related items (yes, our usual offerings will be happening while the crop goes on – including the scheduled mega downloads of monthly Blueprints and Pixie Dust that will be available as usual), I have had to step away from the computer every now and then to take a break. When I can’t look at the screen any longer I head over to my craft table to play with some paper and tools. I am having so much fun making cards and being hands on with glue, paper, scissors and tools – that I now have a girlfriend who pops over every week just to make paper flowers! Now I’ve decided to do a page featuring some of the flowers that keep me so happy and calm – yes, all roads lead back to digital scrapbooking!

I look forward to seeing all the pages everyone does on our Birthday Bash Crop over the weekend – and I hope you have as much fun as we do with these wonderful Virtual Events!

🙂 I honestly didn’t pay attention to the author at first. I was reading and thinking it was Jan who was writing… but then there was the note about a friend coming over to make paper flowers… Jan? Um, no. It made SO much more sense to see that it was JANICE writing! Lovely page, my friend. What a nice celebration of all the hard work! Both flowers and p2P’s birthday!

I have just retired and love the fact that I can scrapbook each and every day, all day, if I want to. This weekend I am going away with a group of friends to celebrate this retirement phase so just want to know if everything will still be available on Monday. Do not want to miss a thing.

Those paper flowers are so pretty! And what fun to have someone who loves making the same things you do. Nothing better than having a cohort – my husband would probably add “in crime”, because there is always a new project popping up around here and taking up yet another horizontal space!
