Juzzi Blog Header 2014

Tuesday morning I find myself in D Ward in the hospital looking for local Malagasy Paediatric Nurses who are mentoring and training with our nurses both here and in their local hospitals. I locate them, B Ward, Outpatients and Admissions!

“If you have time … pop your head in ICU, “Bed 2″ is having her hair washed and she is gorgeous!” I am told by one of the nurses.

I love that people make a note to include me on random gorgeous moments!

Of course I went to take a look and I find a makeshift salon with shampoo, conditioner, hair brushes and a mirror.  All I heard was giggles from the patient and much laughter from her Papa. She posed, continued to have her hair washed, continued to giggle and then roared with laughter when I showed her the photos that I had captured on my camera.

The following morning I receive an email “re: fluffy head”. The same nurse is now telling me, again if I have time, to come down to D ward and check out “Bed 2’s” hair.  Who can pass up on such suggestions? I’m already thinking “before and after” photos 🙂

More giggling and the most gorgeous head of fluffy curls.

There is so much to smile about around here …
