The best part about having 2 nephews is I can almost relive my own sons childhoods a second time over! It’s like deja vu sometimes, mirror images of the same things just 15 years later!

We recently celebrated Sunny and Dusty’s 6th and 4th birthdays. They are born a day (and 2 years) apart! This year the party was at a BMX track. Every little boys dream! Riding, skidding, jumping and doing bike tricks. (Just going over logs is apparently a very intense trick!) 18 little boys and girls came to celebrate, they all donned their helmets and went around and around and around the track! A sausage sizzle lunch was followed by a very cool ‘Lego’ cake.

After a while it dawned on me that my brother and sister-in-law were very busy with all the kids and lots of parents (everyone stayed to supervise) and no one was taking photos of the day. They know I always bring a camera, so I guess maybe they were relying on me to bring it this time. Nope. I ran out the door and didn’t bring my camera at all. My dad brought his camera, but the battery was flat! I had to make do with my iPhone to get a few snaps of the boys on their bikes, but they whizzed past so fast, some of my photos are not that great. It was then that I thought, who else would be taking their celebration photos? Someone has to take the photos!

I managed to get a few good pics and get a page together of Dusty enjoying the bike track and his 4th birthday. I also have enough pics of Sunny to get a page done for him. Lucky for them I am such an awesome aunty and take all the pics huh?

Do you know just how easy it is to get your photos from your mobile phone for pages? It’s a drag and drop! Super easy for doing a quick page like the one below. If you haven’t already, check out his video tidbit for a few tips … From Mobile to Page

That does look like the perfect party for 4 and 6 year old boys! And they are very blessed to have a fabulous aunty taking photos and recording the memories.
