For Mum’s 80th birthday I wanted to give her a gift she would treasure, something personal, something that only I could do for her. Way back in January 2015 pixels2Pages ran their very first Project Studio – “Home Is Where The Heart Is”. I knew exactly what I wanted to do for this project and with all the prompts, blueprints and kit that came with the “workshop/class” it was easy, quick and fun to do. With our very own Kerrianne Hobbs and Janet Carr from Little Feet Digital Designs, this project was a perfectly designed, making it a sure fire hit for anyone creating, keeping or gifting the end result of a “Home Is Where The Heart Is” photo book. Only problem was, I had to wait until November to give it to Mum!

Mum was so surprised, delighted and touched to receive a photo book about the home she and Dad built. The home they designed, furnished and decorated. A home they are so proud of and love. A home that contains many memories, keepsakes and treasures they have collected over the years and lovingly display. When Mum unwrapped the book, the delight on her face was wonderful! My cousins looking on loved the concept and the book, and Mum was amazed with each and every page she turned, wondering when I had taken the photos (from way back in January one day when she was at bowls). This is probably one of the best gifts I have made or given anyone, a totally personal gift that will last and bring her happiness whenever she looks at it.
