Tameka – THANK YOU!! so much for reviewing this technique- I have a once in a life time photo of four generations on the summit of the Eiffel Tower – from last fall, that we will never be able to take again. We all live in the US. Because of the back lighting we were not able to see the faces very well (they were too dark). I was able to use this to lighten just the faces and Oh the results were amazing. You pixies are SO helpful even when just answering questions. Thanks Again !!

  2. Thanks this will save me lots of time looking for what I want.

Great idea! Easy to do too. Question for you… I have a photo of someone’s face that is partly in a shadow. Can i use the lasso button and then brighten the part that is dark?

    • Tameka says:

Yes you can. It is a very advanced technique and good results will depend on the actual photo. Lasso and copy the area and use the Brightness button to adjust midtones and shadows.
