In June 2017 I joined a gym for the first time in my life.  I was really apprehensive about joining.  I wondered if I would really use the facility.  Since I was new to the environment, I hired a personal trainer.  My trainer showed me around the gym, and how to use the equipment.  I wound up really enjoying the classes.  So far I have been going to the Zumba and Boot Camp classes.  I attend 3 of each class every week.  I love that I don’t have to think about what I need to do – the professional is there leading me and making it fun.

What I did not realize that I would gain is a sense of community.  When I first started, I came to class and didn’t talk much to other people.  Eventually, I started chatting with others before and after class.  I have really enjoyed getting to know people that I would not have met if it weren’t for the gym.  My goal is that I am healthy.  If I just keep showing up, I will accomplish that goal.  I love that my body already moves and feels better.

DO SOMETHING TODAY YOUR FUTURE SELF WITH THANK YOU FOR

Writing about my experience in joining a gym made me think about joining pixels2Pages or even as a FOREVER Ambassador.  You will get more than you realize.  You already know the training is there, but there is so much more.  Number one – you are not alone!  There is a community that has grown because of a common goal.  The goal might be to create beautiful pages in Artisan or the goal might be to create a business.  With the expert help you will become “fit” with the software, you have access to “group” training (the community), and you have “personal trainers,” the Pixies, lead ambassadors and the home office.

FIND YOUR COMFORT ZONE THEN LEAVE IT

Again I am reminded about leaving my comfort zone.  The only reason I am on this journey is because I went way out of my comfort zone and started a Creative Memories business in 2000 – that is where my story begins.  It is where I found my passion and started taking risks.  I encourage you to join, you never know where that path will lead you.

  1. Good for you, Kim! Baby steps — you have to start somewhere! I am looking forward to getting back into my regular routine after having some challenges this year. January will start my gym’s diet challenge, which I am looking forward to because it will jumpstart me and get me headed in the right direction again. Here’s to 2018!
