Today is the day I normally publish my blog, but we are currently working on some new and exciting things and I want to share them with you.
We are focused on making the site easier to navigate so that you can find exactly what you need. This will not happen overnight, but we will be working steadily on the changes.
The first change you will see is coming up later this month. We are creating a Resource Guide that will organize the offerings on the site in a meaningful way, making it easier for you to find what you are looking for. The Resource Guide is similar to a site map that groups text, images, and links to various related offerings. It will consist of many sections which will be created over time. Once all of the sections are completed, we will combine them into one handy manual that will be updated regularly. In the meantime, each Resource Guide section will be a website post that can be viewed by both members and non-members; however, you will need to be a member to access the content it links to. We think this will be very valuable for non-members as they will be able to see all of the wonderful content available on the site. At the current time, if you are not logged in to an active membership, you cannot see what membership offerings are available.
You may notice that on our monthly calendar we have a lesson replacing a tip. Actually, on November 27, 2018, we will be posting a whole section of the new Resource Guide instead of a tip! This first section will be all about text. We have over 140 text-related offerings on our website! The text section of the Resource Guide will group and organize all text-related posts, allowing you to skim through the images quickly to see what is available.
In the coming months, as more Resource Guide sections are posted, we will combine existing offerings on our site to create lesson plans. If you want to increase your knowledge on a specific tool or technique, the lesson plans will be the perfect way to go! The lesson plans will be distributed in handout form and in a linked post, making them a valuable resource for Ambassadors or anyone hosting an event where attendees are p2P members.
Finally, we plan to form a committee of p2P members and non-members to serve as advisers to the pixels2Pages team. We would like to have a diverse group of committee members who will provide us with valuable feedback as we move forward with improvements to the website during 2019. If you are interested in assisting us in an advisory capacity, CLICK HERE to complete a brief form. The pixels2Pages team will then review the entries and create the committee. Those chosen to serve will be announced in mid-December 2018, so don’t wait to apply!
