Guess Who’s Coming…

I am always in wonder at how life manages to work itself out. Recently my grand-daughter, Micayla, started living with me. AND, she has a kitten, Aries. I have not had a young human or a young kitten around in a very long time.  I had an OG (Old Guy) and an OC (Old Cat), so it is quite a change for me, but, surprisingly, I am liking it.

Duchess, my sweet OC, was almost 16 and she was the queen of the house and would not have tolerated sharing at all. This new little one is full of spit and vinegar and has so much energy that he wears me out just watching him. He has just turned 3 months, so he is still a baby. He has found a favorite chair to watch the outside; he, as yet, has not climbed the curtains; and he has found that chasing his shadow can provide an endless amount of entertainment…for all of us! We are still setting boundaries, which is to be expected, like training the kitten to stay off the tables…now that is a project…he is a stubborn little creature, but he is so cute!

I really think this is going to all work out. There is nothing like young blood to brighten up an old lady’s life!

My sweet lover has nixed any indoor cats after our OC died many years ago… we have barn cats, but I do miss the fun of new kitties and their energy. I have been living my desires for an indoor kitty through your layouts… not too sure I’m up to the tree thing though lol. Blessing on you sweet friend. *U* Kathleen
