This installment of the Resource Guide covers the Color Ribbon. While there is so much to do with color, the Color ribbon is one of the smallest ribbons in the software. Half of the buttons on the Color Ribbon are extremely advanced and there currently are not a lot of offerings specifically related to the buttons on this Ribbon. Over time, we will add additional offerings. We will also add a topic specifically related to color and not just the color ribbon.
There is no clear line between the fundamentals and creative know-how, so unlike other sections of the Resource Guide, we will not be dividing the offerings related to this ribbon into Fundamentals and Creative Know-How (Applications). Instead, fundamental and creative offerings will be combined in their relevant sections.

Black and White/Sepia
Use these buttons to remove color from your paper or photos. You can also give your paper and photos a vintage/antique look.
Use this button to adjust the color in an element. This button will adjust the colors in an image. The Hue value represents the change from the original pixel color as the number of degrees of rotation around the 360-degree color wheel. That is why adjusting the Hue slider does not yield the color that appears on the Hue slider. Adjusting the hue will adjust all of the colors in your image except black, white and gray.
The Wash tool allows you to coat an element with color. The element that is color washed will become monochromatic but will keep all of its design detail.
